Woman in Uganda are being trained by CARE via a Village Savings and Loans Association program where microfinancing is provided to the vanilla-bean farmers who are mostly female.  Hence, these women can take out loans to support their families’ education and health care needs while ultimately striving to create sustainable practices within their communities.
